In early 2009, University Hospitals asked Wizard of Ah's to create and produce a unique event to run from September 10 - October 31, in celebration of Breast Cancer Awareness month. The result was a fantastic and unique display of lights that incorporated three of their Cleveland area facilities.
At UH's Beachwood facility pink LED lights were washed over the building, making it glow in the night. At the Westlake facility a 4.5k light beam was used to convey UH's slogan, "Lighting the way for a future without breast cancer." The beam was so powerful that FAA approval was needed in order to use the light.
Lerner Tower was also made to glow bright pink by using 2 Space Cannon 10,000w Xenon programmable robotic lights. The same type of lights were used to mark the location of the Twin Towers in NYC on the 9/11 anniversaries.
The catered media kickoff and the "Switch throwing" events that took place at Lerner Tower were also produced by the Wiz.
It was a pleasure to work with University Hospitals on such a wonderful event. We are honored to have been given the opportunity to help bring attention to such an important cause.
